Puddleduck Cottage

New for 2012: As part of our committment to a sustainable future we have installed PV panels
on the roof which provide electricity to the cottage. Free WiFi Internet Access is also provided.

Lin and Rob invite you to step back in time to a gentler age and share a "Wind in the Willows" Experience: stroll along the river banks through National Trust and private woodlands; spot Egrets and Kingfishers; take to the water in our rowing boat "Lady's Maid"; see fish jumping; cross the river using the stepping stones; feed (puddle)ducks from the shore; catch crabs from the quay; net tiddlers from the shallows; picnic on the riverbank or beside the river on the village green. You may prefer a longer walk to St Winnow, through the woods and along the riverbanks to visit the riverside church, stopping for an Ice Cream or Cornish Cream Tea at Angie's and visiting her farm museum before returning across fields past Ethy House.

OUT OF SEASON Puddleduck has a tariff for 2 people, with a small extra charge per additional person

Centrally situated. Puddleduck Cottage is an ideal base for exploring - The Eden Project, Lanhydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, China Clay Museum, Shipwreck Museum at Charlestown, Lostwithiel (Cornwall's antiques capital), Bodmin Jail, Fowey (take the ferry), the fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey.
